I am so excited to introduce to you Layne Elisabeth Piller. She was born on July 30th, 2009 at 2:15 pm. She was 8 pounds 11 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long. I had an active labor of four hours. She was out in four pushes. One of my biggest prayers was that the spirit of God would be in that room as I was giving birth and my prayer was answered.
Layne has the absolute best disposition ever! She sleeps through the night. She hardly cries. She really is a gift from the Lord. Isabel and Evangeline love their little sister. Isabel wants to be her mommy. She would hold Layne 24/7 if I would let her. Evie is interested, she will kiss her and then go back about her business. And for Marcus, well... what can I say? He's the best dad in the world. He loves his little girl clan more than ever. We are so blessed. I give all the glory to God. This was a hard road to walk, but the Lord walked with us and got us to the end. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Soon to be Arrival
38 What a great number! Layne is going to be induced one week from Thursday. Marcus and I are so excited. Everything is ready to go... and by Everything I mean Everything. The car seat is in the car, the bags are packed, the house is clean, her room is ready, the girl's are prepared (we hope) and food is in the freezer.
As of one month ago Layne weighed 7.5 pounds. So the doctor is still thinking between 8.5 to 9 pounds. We'll see... you never know for sure. I am still measuring big and so is she. Please pray that labor and delivery goes well. We want the peace of the Lord in that room every step along the way.
We have a busy week this week. Isabel is celebrating her 3rd birthday. She wanted a Dora cake and a card. So we are going to get the kind of cake she wants, we got the card, along with a portable v-smile and a play structure for her and her sister. Isabel is in 3T but it looks like I need to move her to 4T soon. She is a size 8 shoe and is continually growing like a weed. I took the girls to McDonald's the other day and Isabel came to me holding her chest saying " oh, oh my feelings hurt". I laughed so hard. That definitely goes in the baby book.
Evangeline is a feisty one lately. She has been extremely moody. When she wants to be sweet, she is the sweetest thing EVER! But when she wants to be mean, man is she mean. She is talking so much. It helps that she has an older sister coaching her. I am just amazed at how big she is getting.

Little Layney Lou

32 weeks and counting.... Layne is growing like a weed. She is 5 pounds and around 18 inches. We got some wonderful pictures of her at the doctor's office. I think she is going to look just like her sisters. It is amazing what sonograms can show. Layne is currently breech and we are praying that she will flip her little self around before it's time. As the time continues to draw near I get more and more excited each day. There is nothing like being a mother. I love it!

Movin' On Up...
Marcus and I took a vacation with our growing family. We went to Phoenix and to Anaheim. We found a killer deal on flights to phoenix. We stayed at two different hotels. Our first hotel was great it. We had a little spa in our backyard that the girls could play in during the day and Marcus could relax in at night. Then we moved to another hotel that had all the amenities. We have been to this hotel a couple of time and we just love it. The girls love to play at all the swimming pools they have. The room is so spacious we did pizza and a movie one night and ordered OutBack another followed up by smores. My favorite. There is a fire pit about 30 yards from our room so we would take the girls and all the fixin's and toast us some smores. The weather was just beautiful while we were there. It was about 100 degrees, sunny and not a cloud in the sky. From there we drove to Anaheim not a bad drive about 5 1/2 hours. We got there checked our stuff into the hotel and then went to the beach. It was Evangeline's first time there and Isabel's second time. Evie loved it and Isabel had an understanding this time of how small she is and how big the ocean is but she still enjoyed it. The next day we took our girls to Disneyland. We met up with some great friends from YWAM who we dearly miss. Then the next day we hit the beach again. Then we drove back to Phoenix and flew home. The only advice I could give is don't go to Disneyland at the end of your vacation. All the relaxation that we had went out the window. But other than that we had a wonderful time. I grew up taking vacations. I would give up a lot in order to take a vacation. It is a great time to spend with your family, I am able to visit with my husband really enjoy him and fall even more in love with him. Plus you can get some really good rates out there, you just have to look around.

Nothing like Being a Mother
What can I say? I love my baby girls so much. The girls are growing like a weed...
Isabel is two and is living up to all the things two year olds do. Some times she takes me
completely by surprise. I will ask her a question or she will make a comment and it will be the most clever response. I bought her donut holes the other day and she said to me " That's my favorite Mom". She is truly my little gem.
Evangeline has officially learned the word "NO". Almost all day long she walks around saying "No, No, No" I have know idea where she learned that. Her second favorite word is "Ball". She loves playing with balls. She could play with one ball for hours on end. She's my hope.
Layne, well she is moving all the time. I think she is going to be just a busy as her big sisters. I am so excited to see what kind of personality she is going to have. I thought to myself the other day " What if she is shy and doesn't like to talk,? She might not fit in" Because all of us like to talk. But then I reminded myself...God picked us to be her parents and she'll fit no matter how she is. She is a miracle.
I love my children with my entire heart. God has given me many reasons to live but they are one
of the biggest reasons. Even when I feel stressed or at my end... I am reminded of the goodness of God every time I look at them. Take time today to tell your children or a loved one how much you value them. I know I will!
